China 3+2 Program
Our 3 + 2 China program allows students from specific universities in China to spend the fourth and fifth years of their university education at the University of Illinois Chicago, culminating in both a bachelor's degree from their home university and an MS in Chemical Engineering from UIC.
Learn more about our MS program by downloading our overview booklet.
Admissions Requirements Heading link
The UIC chemical engineering department reviews each applicant on an individual basis. Complete transcripts of all undergraduate work must be submitted.
Applicants also must meet the following program requirements:
- Baccalaureate field of study: Chemical engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Grade Point Average: For undergraduate study, at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.00, or the equivalent in a system used by Chinese universities. In exceptional cases, applicants with averages below 3.00 but above 2.75 may be admitted if they show evidence of substantial ability to complete the program successfully.
- Minimum competency in English: Determined by examination.
