About

Dr. Nere is a head of Center of Excellence for Isolation and Separation Technologies (CoExIST) which is responsible to develop robust crystallization, filtration, and drying processes for all the small molecules of AbbVie. He has been a founder head of the AbbVie wide Cross-Functional Modeling forum (CMF) meant to provide modeling-based process solutions to both the small and large molecule pipeline and commercial assets. Nandu also represents AbbVie as a Board of Director on the Enabling Technology Consortium (ETC) and had led ETC Crystallization group. He carries 10+ years of industrial experience and is author of 45+ research publications and book chapters, and has delivered 45+ conference presentations, invited seminars and plenary lectures. Amongst various awards, he was a recipient of 18th Chicago Innovation Award in addition to AbbVie’s highest Outstanding Research Team Award and multiple AbbVie R&D President’s awards for his innovative and impactful contributions to the process development and predictive modeling. He was a guest editor of the special issue on Advances in Computational Fluid Dynamics in International Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2012.
