UIC Chemical Engineering ranked among top 20

The UIC Chemical Engineering Department was ranked in the top 20 of public universities in the U.S. by QS. The rankings are based on academics, employer ratings, citations/faculty, and their h-index.
“I am incredibly proud of our Chemical Engineering faculty, students, and staff for propelling us to among the top 20 among U.S. public universities and #33 overall in the latest QS rankings,” said Chemical Engineering Department Head and Dr. Satish C. & Asha Saxena Professor Vikas Berry. “This achievement reflects our dedication to excellence in research, teaching, and innovation.”
He encouraged students looking to build a strong, future‑focused career, to consider joining the department.
”There’s never been a better time to join UIC’s growing Chemical Engineering program,” Vikas said.
